Interoffice Match

I had a conversation with Richard Rowell from the Norwich Office today and he confirms that he now has access to a budget and this match will now go ahead on Friday 16th May at  Colemans Cottage Pathfield Lake.

The lake is booked and the format will be as in previous years with the draw at 9.30 and fish 11 til 5. This is a bit later than usual to allow those from Norwich extra time to get there. It will be teams of 10 and no doubt if we have more they may be required by Norwich or Witham teams to make up their numbers.

Would anyone interested in fishing please post below. I will select the team a week or so before the match.

Yes but Si, if you worked for the company then they give you a paid day off work to fish.

AND they pay for the hire of the lake

AND they pay for the trophies

AND they pay for your bait

AND they pay for your brekkie

AND if your lucky they will also pay for your petrol to get there.

AND before you say it Im one of their pensioners and so Im still entitled to fish :P :P :P :P Image

Hi Dave,

Having been made redundant from the mighty Swiss Re back in January, and still being unable to find anyone else mug enough to take me on, I may well be available for the Interoffice Match. By the way I do beleive I heard you splitting your sides a few weeks back when a certain Eliot Spitzer was caught with his trousers down!!!!!!!

See you tomorrow and cheers,
Graham

TK Im sorry I regret to inform you that you cannot be considered for this match. :( The companies in question are Insurance Brokers and you state that you WORK in an office.

You appear to have contravened their terms and conditions and are therefore not allowed to fish.

Right the time is nearly upon us and I can confirm that Norwich are after revenge this year as they were very upset at losing out to our great team last year.

The team of ten needs no picking as we only have 10 available to fish after a late cry off. The lucky people are :-

Dave Collier
Colin Sharrard
Tony Roberts
Jim Boase
Ed Dobson
John Holdsworth
Kevin Loveland
Rod Turner
Roger Noakes
Martin Hucker

Unfortunately due to holidays , work, sickness and %£$^&% Decorating we are missing Judy, Chris, Dave and Arthur from last years side and are probably not as strong as we could be.

There is a problem as the owners Jane and Gerry are on holiday so there will only be one woman cooking breakfasts so if you want one please be there before 8.30.

Draw is at 9.30 and fish 11am til 5pm.

As usual keepnets and landing nets will be supplied by the fishery and the tackle shop will be open. I did have a look in there on Monday and it is very well stocked and will have maggot available though I accept no responsibility for the quality of it.

Pathfield didnt fish very well on Monday but the Sunday open was won with over 200lb and as the carp have finished spawning Im hopeful they will be up for a big feed on our baits on Friday.

Well thats enough of the chat now lets go kick wobbly cheeks. Image
