Not sure who mark has put down pal, I'd have a word with him Sunday about it as it's the first I've heard! Will ask our lads if they are interested to try and get your numbers up a little higher

Just had a look at the figures for the Sensas canal masters we are thinking along the lines of this
If we get 90 pegs
that would bring in a total of £1,800 per match
Pegging would be £270 per round
Money taken out for the final @£4 £360
9 x 10 peg sections@ £50
pay the top 4 individually
1st £250.00
2nd £200.00
3rd £160.00
4th £110.00
Total £1,800.00 payed out
I know the numbers will change
so out of the 6 rounds say two will be 70 pegs
70 @ £20 = £1,400
£210 for pegging
£280 for the final
7 sections £50 £350
1st £190.00
2nd £150.00
3rd £120.00
4th £100.00
total paid out £1,400.00
this will add up to around £3,000 including the pools on the day for a 50 peg final match
sections would be £50 every 5 pegs
1st £800.00
2nd £500.00
3rd £300.00
4th £200.00
5th £100.00
hope that suites everyone
As the canal has now been re-pegged any chance you could put up how the pegs now lie according to where they used to be.ie Hawes plant hire ,boat pub ,Glebe street ,Duke of york,Duck island and factory wall ,Scrap yard etc .Just so anglers can familiarise themselves with the new pegs.
Long eatons finest
Yes i will depending how i get on as i'm up neck in work at the minute photos of the sections and peg numbers will be on show next week . if the weather is rubbish it might be paper pegged in some parts of the canal. The numbers we have it will be down to the anglers if they don't turn up and haven't let me or Brian know they will go straight onto the waiting list and the waiting list angler will take his place throughout the rest of the series.
The pegs are going to be a lot bigger so gaps will be massive if a angler doesnt turn up .
The draw for the forthcoming series of matches on the Loughborough canal will be at the Carillon Hockey Club which is to be found in Moor Lane off Empress Road Loughborough postcode LE11 1ST. For those of you who know the canal the hockey club is on the left after crossing the Scrapyard Bridge.
They will be serving hot food at breakfast and after the match. However it would help the caterers if they had an rough idea of how many might want food in the mornings. So if you could indicate if you would be interested in a breakfast it would ensure enough food is bought.
