With new owner allowing pellet I was looking forward to this match but with the points being very close the pressure was on. After getting my pellet (a complete rip off) £2 for a pint Image Image Image Image. After Simon showed me the super bait 8 pints of castors Image Image we made the draw and I drew peg 13 next to the point which JD was on and he was competing in the points also.

I set my gear up 6 rigs in total, 2 shallow rigs, 1 with float, 1 without, 1 margin rig, 1 at 4meters, 1 at 8meters and 1 at 11.5meters. At the start of the match 1 fed a big pot of pellet and corn and a pot of corn down the edge. I started on the 8meter line and it was slow on the corn and JD had a carp first chuck about 8lb :o. I had a few liners and decided to try the maggot and foul hooked a carp that came off at the net so i went back in and foul hooked another but got it out Image but it was dead after that.
I fed a pot on the 11.5 meter line and had a look down the edge which resulted in a 8lb carp but nothing else so I went on the 11.5 meter line but only had liners before going shallow and having 2 carp but I was struggling before deciding to go shallow and stick with it. I fished shallow until the end and had few carp all on the rig with the float Image Image but didn't have a fish in the last half hour :(. Overall I was pleased with what I did and beat the people round me. I had 68lb not enough for the win got 2nd but it pulled back 2 points from barry giving him a lead of 3 points going into the final match of this leauge at passford will be very interesting. It fished patchy in places today but I think it is a good pool but not sure bout the venue Image Image

Utter sh!t. I was up the corner again between 2 other blokes when there is only normally one person in that area. Pegger outers couldn't peg out my washing  Image

Simon man balls
I didn't use the length of line method mikey did I used a float all but 1 fish the peg wasn't that great as I had to work very hard for my fish and next peg was DNW and that was gus who is a very good angler and JD was on the better of the 2 pegs and I beat him and you got beat by my grandad of the next peg.
I didn't peg out today it was tommo and decka.

went on the nfa website as tommo phoned me and asked and it says nothing about the use of a float and we shouldn't use mobile phones so if you want to fish to the rules then we fish to all of them not just certain ones

From the washer woman who did the pegging out............... unfortunaltey not knowing the pool ur peg went in................
But Decka who has fished pool before as u have, suggested that normally it coughs up fish................

what surprises me is that u lasted till the end of the match, cause i had bet that u would be home in Penkridge by 1.30....................

Can u explain to me that you guys have fished the pool numerous times before yet none of u made the 1st 3.................

Could it be tactical not the pegs........................ Image

Always difficult to sort pegs out when its a venue that we don't know especially when the pegs are so tight and we were told to leave out early pegs which turned out to be the best on the day.................
