Bit of general info on the colour of the mainline cut,
as its only a spit from where i live,with the sun high in the sky i went and walked the section from CoseleyTunnel to the Black Country Route.
got on the cut at Bridgewater Drive access the cut here is quite shallow on the Inside and you can see the bottom to around three mtrs out here it deepens of towards the tunnel end and back towards the bay at dewsbury and proud Crane hire. You can see the bottom about a mtr out on the rest of this length, There is only a very slight tinge of colour in the cut with very few boats going along this bit but like the stretch of the walsall cut you really dont want any boats if poss.
With the weather going even colder over nite on Friday that bit of colour may be out , lets hope not

the noted pegs will still cough up the goods ,the evergreens/christmas tree pegs mid length and the bay at Dewsbury and proud.

the Boat pub on the corner is in the process of being demollished and is almost down

dont know if the noise will have affected the pegs to the left tunnel side of the cut normally quite good here

Iwill walk down dixon street end on friday to see if the colours any better there.
the fish will defo scholl up with the cold and clear conditions forcast

with this being the first joker match of the year here some will have some terrific weights and the next peg will struggle

Its not as consistant as the cut at walsall [HANKAT]
not many smaller Roach , most are in the half oz to 4oz class with the odd perch...............................

walked along dixon street this morning before collecting my bait the colour is very simmilar here as wednesday Clearing with a slight tinge :( the main difference is its very crappity smacing RAW with cold wind

.The pegs in the 280 showed some life of fish with fish topping here

.I called round Lees and he was just about to peg out ,

so hopefully he will post his thoughts later ..............................
