jack hill in 1931 made 11 apperances with 8 being captain. He also lead hull to win the 3 div northern championship

Me,
Jack Hill captained England 8 times in between 1925-29.
Hull won the Div 3 North in 1932-33; Stoke won Div 2 the same year.
Eddie Hapgood captained England then.
Not him mate but you were close; more recent then that

When Jack Hill (Hull City) captained England Hull were in Division Two. Hull were in Div 2 from 1905-1929; they were relegated to Div 3 North in 1930.
Close but no cigar.
It is a really tough question with a bizarre answer!
