Well I had a kind of good day. 10lb exactly - mostly perch. Needed another 5oz to make top six.

High pressure switched the roach off and so i must have had 150 or so perch on bloodworm plus a few roach and two bottletop skimmers. No caster fish but it was blowing a gale most the day. Oh, and someone thought it would be a good idea to walk under my pole and then stand up abruptly to smash it in half!
I love this time of year cos as soon as it gets to March i cant wait to have a rest. All the bubblers and joker trays are already packed away. All ive got is a few packs of Russian in the fridge and a wedge of blood for the hook for the Sensas Challenge and thats it. Finito for a couple of weeks. Cant wait! Its been my leanest winter for years with too many near misses and Ive missed my narrow canals
By the way, if anyone wants a place in the Sensas Challenge I may be able to help as Rob Middleton and Paul Bick cant fish...
