Come on then lads im thinking about a trip this year (not the acid sort ) and wonder if any of you can give me some advice as to best festivals, best fishing and more importantly best BEER. Never been before as I have always been a Whiteacres freak. Around September / October time.
Dan, myself and Pete Jayes are planning to go too this year about the same time !
I have had a look and I think Muckno pairs is fully booked. That leaves King of clubs or Cootehill festival which I have fished before. I quite fancy Cootehill as its a good mix of pole and feeder. They also run a team of 3 alongside the individuals.
Last time I fished Cootehill it was a 5 day competition.
We got there on Saturday, practiced Sunday, fished Mon to Fri with results every night in the different bars.
Went home Sat.
I am going to trawl the net to look at whats on offer ! will get back !
Best roach fishing (and Guinness pub) in the whole of Ireland at Castleblayney. You should be able to get on it as some always drop out when they are due to pay.
If you want to know 'owt abut it make a list up and giz a bell...

Tony its a gay pub......
Got to agree on the roach fishing bit though, wish I'd booked on again but as Martin can't go (again) I didn't want to be like last year and spend 3 months trying to find someone to go with.
Guiness and Chinese takings will be down without you and Terry though mate
Think I am going to book on the Muckno and if this fails could be as Choppy says king of clubs or the cootehill. Tony I will be giving you a call for some info.
I have the number for Castle Lodge Guest House Dan.
Like HRH says 2 mins from draw, 2 mins from town.
Good brekkie; bait shed with fridges.
Don't leave your keepnet out, - the crappity smack dog ate mine last year. Good job it weren't a new 'un, I used it once
Plenty of food houses in town. Pub/hotel/2 Chinx/chippies. Indian is crap, - had a bad deal in there, crappity smack 'em.
Right, been given the OK by the Mrs !!!
Me and Pete Jayes are up for it !
Is there some place where we can get the job lot done for us such as match bookings, accomodation and ferry crossing ??? Any help would be great, thanks
