Right! - Sick to death now of those stupid landing net poles where the ends just pop off :( due to lack of glue or something...
managed to cut my landing net pole back and put a load of glue back on the end so i will see how long this lasts! :( if else fails, someone recommend me a good landing pole and a rough price
Glueing alone = a recipe for disaster, the better ones are glued and pinned.
I use a Drennan Extra Strong 3 piece, but I believe they have been discontinued. However they have a similar one in their Series 7 Ex-Strong Carp Match I believe.
Drennan EXTRA STRONG Carp Match Landing Net Handle 3.3m
Rock solid. The brass head is fixed in very well indeed.
Had mine about 4 years now and still going strong.
One downside, they are about 45 quid, having said that I probably spent more than that on cheaper ones before that kept breaking and heads dropping off.
i bought 2 maver match this 3m landing net poles a couple of weeks back, £17 each, one for me and one for my dad, first session using it the head screw came loose and cracked about 3 inches down, 2days later exactly the same thing happend with my dads so we took them back to the shop and 7 people in total had brought them back for a refund, stay away from them. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
many years ago what i did was use the bottom 3 sections of a bleak whip, and glue in the screwthread of an old bankstick, used it for years wiv no probs, infact i still use it for the odd day on the river or more recent commercials
