I hope its just him, I'm getting some of these.
I tried them on in the shop and walked round for about 20 mins in there with them on and they were warm and very comfy.
I suppose been on the side of a muddy river is slightly different though

Mine were ok. Feet stayed wam and waterproof all day.
I even walked through some big puddles to make sure they didn't leak

No mate. I had thermal bottoms, Tracky bottoms and Skeetex thermal socks on too.
