grand union canal barrow to loughborough out in the country this part of the canal does not get fished that much because of the walks but now most use trolleys with the only problem being some boats moored up on the pegs everything pointed to a good match [apart from the wind]
i did'nt fish myself so i walk the whole length and i was really glad i did as it fished brilliant with all sections being won with 9lb plus and the top 4 all having double figures for some it was a gamble as there was a lot of big fish moving around and showing them selfs but most of the main weights came to squatts
alan heney of spro fishing with wisby lincs [i hope thats his first name as i did'nt catch it after]won the day with 13lb a mixed bag of chub,roach,perch and skimmers chub falling to worm
2nd joint was sid baldock of quorn vde and dave small of lincs wisby both catching 12lb 4oz and both counting the price of losted fish
4th was roger marlow leicester sensas with 11lb 2oz of squatt fish
and 5th tony mashel of quorn vde 10lb 11oz with half court on bread and half bonus fish on worm 6th was russ dowding leicester sensas[shakespeare] with 9lb 15oz thanks to a bonus tench
