with the river gin clear and the cold nights we all thought it would be really hard the only thing in our favour was the weather being over cast we had a major problem on the morning we received news that we had lost a section of river over night as the land owner had left his fields to the wild flower society
still moving on
after the last round where we saw the river bang on with colour and pace this week was going to be total different funny how fishing can be full of surprises
the two sections on the deeps where the big weights came from were slow and very clear would the bream feed
well believe me they did lee richmond enjoyed one of his best river matches weighing in a total of 88lb 15oz of prime bream on feeder
and might of broke the ton if he had'nt lost a big carp but this week he didnt have it all his own way as four out of the top five came from his section second was alan houlton with 59lb 6oz third pete hamllton 40lb 3oz 4th was rob wright the only angler not to be on the deeps he had 21lb 10oz of chub and 5th ian snowdon 16lb 4oz the rest of the river fished well apart from the section we had to change all i can say is sorry to the anglers that had drawn it
as it was the last match in the summer league the team result had some real surprises
with the two top teams trentmen and leicester having a 6 points gap then a 18 point gap to 3rd the race was on for third spot
winners on the day with a good team performance was GARBOLINO HARRISONS RED with 21 points just a match tooo late for them as this brought them right back into the league second was anglingman with 26 points another team that had left it too late to make a inpact on the leaders 3rd quorn with 28 points
