Well I was back on the bankside for the 1st time in 2009 on Saturday.

Apart from that one rain squall at the start, it wasn't that bad really Simps as we had the wind off our backs. The lads fishing opposite must have suffered though as it was howling straight into them and they didn't really look dressed for it and packed in early.

its ok for some to go fishing i have'nt been out since the end of november due to having man flu and then xmas came around and to top it off 30th dec operation on my left hand by the time feb comes i will have the right hand done so im looking at middle of april or beginning of may. i will be doing the odd bit of coaching but can't fish because i still cant use left hand tried the last 2 days but my hand as given me so much greave i havent been able to go but i do hope to try tomorrow because this time last year i started catching carp into double figures most people didnt catch carp till april time byt i do know the water very well if i do go tomorrow i will post some photos if i catch any fish
