Simple Match Fishing Forum

I did go we had 16 fishing they changed the pegs so old peg 2 is now peg 1. I drew peg 11 in the deeps set up a pole line at 12 meters and planned to fish the tip . Started on the tip and had a liner first chuck then a couple of rudd after a while. I looked on the pole line but that was dead. Bob cook was next to me and lost a carp on the wag shallow . Grubby was on peg 10 and started well with 4 carp and some bits. I had 2 carp after an hour one was about 5lb the other 3lb.
Jacko started well with a 12lb carp early on, he was on peg 22
The tip then died and all i could get was small roach but bob had a couple on the pole so i gave it a go and had 5 carp in 5 bob had 4 and lost 1 then not a lot happened but jacko bagged up and tommo started catching late on. JD had a few all on the pole Was a good match
1st Jacko 61lb
2nd JD 45lb
3rd tommo 37lb
4th Benny 33lb
5th JJ Gallagher 30lb

Good weights JJ for this time of year. I was expecting about 25lb to have won it so you did well  

They must be gathering on peg 22 ready to spawn or something for Jacko to catch that much

It was hard bob would have beat me but he lost the fish at the net tink will have to give him some more lessons

It was crap I drew peg 7 didnt have a carp not even a bite of 1 had a few silvers on the tip
1st Decca 24lb peg 13
2nd Tink 22lb peg 1
3rd 19lb not sure who

Yes it is. I had about a lb of samll silvers on the tip but I knew there wasn't enough to frame so I fished for the carp all day. It isnt a good area si never has had many fish in that area or the bottom corner opposite peg 1
