First of all it was cold Image

I thought i was back on TK 's gruellers

17 turned up ................idiots

We fished the green shed section at Penkridge ( for ones who want to know where this is ask Simon )

Started off on the bread after 20 minutes realised the roach had gone on holiday no one at home ........tried worm next ...........WOW i caught a perch no dry net for me and for ages i was leading .......................SOON to change phone calls down the canal one lad had one bite suggested was 2lb perch ............tortally wrong it was 2lb 10 oz he won the match

But did the idiots fishing in a hail storm know this .........NO

we battled on i had a couple of perch in the first one and a half hours wow i'm in the money as all i could here was no bite no bites yet

My fishing partner Goughy ( god rest his soul ) had started to pick up the odd gudgeon and perch on the worm i sat there looking at my float

Then came the turning point we had one almighty hail storm Goughy stopped catching and i decided to take up a warmer sport

At the end it worked out like this

1st dave one bite one perch
2nd Goughy 1lb 10 oz 10 drms
3rd Brian ( he is old so we ignor him ) 1lb 10 oz 4 drms ( boy was he pi****
4 th my self with a haul of 11ozs 4 drms all perch ...............is it worth going fishing this time of year i thought i'd met the grueller gang

cheslynboy books an appointment with simon to find out how to catch fish

That my friends is our first club match of 2009 will keep you informed on the other 25 unless someone pays me a lot of pennies Image
