May I take this opportunity to just say well done lads and good luck in the next round lads!
We gave it our best shot but at the end of the day most of us hadn't seen any canal fishing for many years and with only one practice match on the run up to this supercup match I feel we were just under prepared. Not to take anything away from you guys, you fished well.
We were hoping that we maybe on a stretch of cut where we could just target a few proper fish because we knew that we would struggle trying to keep pace in a bit bashing race, but it became evident in our practice match that there were no real better stamp fish willing to feed, so had to try and catch as many 3 to the ounce gudgeon as we could.
The final this year is at Barston, and this is a venue we know really well, so if you do manage to reach the final you know where to come for up the minute form and any advice.
