Bill Turner, sadly passed away on Friday morning, 4/4/14 after a long illness he suffered with great dignity.
Bill, as we all know, was Mr Wolves AA, - in fact after the demise of the old Whitmore Reans AC nobody did more than Bill for Wolves AA and it is a great testimony to him alone that the Club is where it is today.
They was hardly a committee post he didn't partake in throughout his time at Wolves AA and Bill will be a great loss to angling.
Many anglers on this site knew and respected Bill and I am sure you will all join me in offering our most sincerest of condolences to Mrs Turner, Neil, Paul and all the family and friends at this difficult time.
The funeral will be later this month, - as soon as I get the details I will post them on here.

My thoughts go out to you both and all your family! I remember when I first moved to the Midlands I spoke to Bill on the phone at great length about matches and so on, only met the man a few times but always said hello and remembered my name! Thinking of you all in this moment of sadness.

I remember Bill from many years ago, He used to come to Burton to fish the canal matches with Paul and Neil. After a while getting to know them I went to fish their matches and was always made welcome. I have many great memories and wish to pass on my condolences to the family.
